Place2Be announces theme for Children’s Mental Health Week 2021

With Children’s Mental Health Week 2021 just over four months away, today Place2Be have announced that next year’s theme is Express Yourself.

Expressing yourself is about finding ways to share feelings, thoughts, or ideas, through creativity. This could be through art, music, writing and poetry, dance and drama, photography and film, and doing activities that make you feel good.

For Children's Mental Health Week 2021 we will be encouraging children (and adults) to explore the different ways we can express ourselves, and the creative ways that we can share our feelings, our thoughts and our ideas.

Place2Be launched the first ever Children’s Mental Health Week in 2015 to shine a spotlight on the importance of children and young people’s mental health. Now in its seventh year, we hope to encourage more people than ever to get involved and spread the word.

After October half term, we’ll launch our free resources for primary and secondary schools. These will include assembly guides, slides, group activities, fundraising ideas and more to help schools and youth groups explore what it means to Express Yourself. All the resources can be adapted for use in school, for home-schooling, online lessons or independent learning.

As we get nearer to the week we'll also share resources for parents, and our social media and fundraising guides to help children, young people and adults across the country shout about the week and raise vital funds for Place2Be.

Sign up for email alerts to be the first to hear when these resources become available.
