Place2Be reveals new theme and free school and family resources for Children’s Mental Health Week 2027

What if we all took a moment to see the world through someone else’s eyes?

Place2Be has today unveiled ‘Step into Our World’ as the theme for Children’s Mental Health Week 2027, inviting schools, families and communities across the UK to get curious, listen and explore the world from a child and young person’s point of view.

Taking place from 1 to 7 February 2027, Children’s Mental Health Week will shine a spotlight on empathy, connection and the relationships that help children and young people thrive.

‘Step into Our World’ encourages us to pause before we assume, listen without judgement and get curious about what someone else might be experiencing.

Because when children and young people feel heard, understood and supported, it can make a real difference to their mental health and wellbeing.

To help everyone get involved, Place2Be has launched a new collection of free Children's Mental Health Week resources for primary schools, secondary schools and families.

Schools can access age-appropriate class activities, assembly guides and practical ideas to help children and young people explore empathy, different perspectives and the importance of positive relationships.

For families, there are expert tips and a creative activity designed to help start conversations at home.

And there are plenty of ways to make the Week your own. And if you want to organise a fundraiser, there are materials to show you how to get involved in Express Yourself day where you can dress, bake, create to raise money for children’s mental health.

Whatever you do, Place2Be is inviting people across the UK to step into someone else’s world this Children’s Mental Health Week.
