We’ve teamed up with BAFTA Kids to create two virtual assemblies for Children’s Mental Health Week 2022, supported by Oak National Academy.

This year, we have created two assemblies – one for primary schools, and one for secondary and high schools – to help children and young people across the UK take part in the week and explore the theme of ‘Growing Together.’

Both assemblies feature a very special message from BAFTA and Oscar-winning actress, Olivia Colman.

Find out more and watch the assemblies below.

Primary School Assembly

Our primary school assembly, hosted by Lindsey Russell, features pupils from Rosslyn Park Primary School and Seascape Primary School in conversation with dancer and presenter Oti Mabuse.

The primary assembly is 18 minutes long. For younger children, you may wish to pause and discuss the themes to break up the length. Why not try the Support Balloon activity with your class? Check out our 2-minute demo video.

Secondary / High School Assembly

Our assembly for secondary and high schools, hosted by Emma Willis, features students from Folkestone Academy and Carrick Academy in conversation with Shadow and Bone actor, Kit Young, and CBBC's The Dumping Ground actor, Kia Pegg.

The secondary assembly is 18 minutes long. You may wish to pause and discuss the themes, or take part in the activities, to break up the length.

BAFTA Kids Competition

Could someone in your class be BAFTA Kids’ next Young Presenter? Applications are now open for their annual Young Presenter Competition, and this year’s theme is Growing Together. Find out more on the BAFTA Kids website.
