Place2Be announces theme for Children's Mental Health Week 2023

With Children’s Mental Health Week 2023 less than four months away, today Place2Be have announced that next year’s theme is Let's Connect.

Let's Connect

Human beings thrive in communities, and this connection is vital for our wellbeing, and our survival. When we have healthy connections – to family, friends and others – this can support our mental health and our sense of wellbeing. And when our need for rewarding social connections is not met, we can sometimes feel isolated and lonely – which can have a negative impact on our mental health.

Let's Connect is about making meaningful connections for all, during Children's Mental Health Week - and beyond.

For Children’s Mental Health Week 2023, we’re encouraging people to connect with others in healthy, rewarding, and meaningful ways. Watch the video below to learn more about the theme.

In early November, we’ll launch our free resources for primary and secondary schools, and for parents and carers. These will include assembly guides, slides, group activities, top tips, and more to help schools and youth groups explore the importance of meaningful connections.

Following the success of Children’s Mental Health Week 2022, we’ll also be re-launching our Dress to Express fundraising campaign for schools, organisations, and individuals. During Children's Mental Health Week 2022, your support helped raise over £208,000 for Place2Be. We'll also be announcing an exciting new partnership soon.

Place2Be launched the first ever Children’s Mental Health Week in 2015 to shine a spotlight on the importance of children and young people’s mental health. Now in its ninth year, we hope to encourage more people than ever to get involved and spread the word.
