Place2Be Ambassador, podcaster and journalist, Josh Smith, visited two secondary schools to ask students about the different ways they connect, and how connections can impact their mental health and wellbeing.
In this video, students reflect on the Covid pandemic and how that changed the ways in which they connect.
After watching this video, you may want to have a discussion as a class about the pandemic. Here are a few suggested discussion points and questions:
- How did the Covid pandemic and lockdown impact or change the way we connect with our others, including our families?
- Which groups of people were most impacted by the pandemic? In what ways were they impacted?
- What coping mechanisms and strategies were employed to help us cope through the pandemic and how effective do you think they were?
